2019
At a glance
- Exploitation of the school in Aynali Cesme, where works will be soon completed and ten additional rooms will be available.
- Inauguration of the library of the late Scholar, Dimitris Fragkopoulos and access to its valuable contents for all interested parties.
- Organizing the exceptional photography exhibition “Tarlabasi, the lost neighbourhood of the Rums” at the Sismanoglio Megaro, in collaboration with the newspaper “O Politis” and the Consulate General of Greece.
- Launch of the Community’s new website (www.stavrodromion.org)
- Launch of the Greek-Rum Community population census in Istanbul.
2018

- Inclusion of the Sisli cemetery in the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe (ASCE)
- Operation of the newly-built Huzur building, the construction of which was completed with expatriate funds in the previous year.
- Applying and obtaining a building permit for a plot in Elmadag.
- Preservation and growth of the operation of the “Creative Workshop”, which provides necessary educational and interactive services to preschool children
- Contribution of the Community of Stavrodromi in the scholarship fund with 150,000TL
- Maintenance of the library of the late Scholar, Dimitris Fragkopoulos
- Financial aid to the Lyreio Children’s Institution following the disastrous wildfires in Attica
2017

- The construction of the Huzur apartment building in Dolapdere was completed
- Completion of maintenance work at the cemetery church of the Transfiguration in Sisli and opening ceremony (thyranoixia) of the church by the Patriarch
- Construction work started for an apartment building in Elmadag
- Operation and design of former school in Aynali Cesme as guest house
